Albion Falls is one of those diamonds in the rough. It was difficult to find, but after asking four locals if they had heard of the falls, one had reluctantly pointed the way. And once the falls was found, getting down the cliff to enjoy the magic was the next and very real challenge.
The 19 meter waterfall is truly spectacular, with multiple levels and stunningly beautiful water flow and sound. At the base of the waterfall, adventurers can take off their shoes, roll up their pants and walk on the sedimentary rock made smooth by thousands of years of water flow. There is also a scattering of boulders the size of cars strewn around the base of the waterfall to walk on and climb over. The river trail provides some great hiking as well.
There are a couple of ways to get to the falls such as hiking or climbing, each with their pros and cons (This info is made available to members of Outings.ca). But no matter which way is chosen to get to the falls, it will be a great nature adventure worthy of telling to friends and family.
