There is a lot to see and do in Niagara Falls. But one outing worth taking, even if you don't see the Falls, is Bird Kingdom. With almost 400 different birds and over 80 species, the aviary will be sure to please almost everyone. There are more than just birds at the Bird Kingdom, though. The indoor surroundings are quite impressive with a 40-foot waterfall, a 125-year-old teak java house, and a crashed plane on the ceiling inside a dark jungle room.
The birds hop and fly so close you can touch them. And if you spend enough time watching, you will notice each of the birds has a different personality. Some birds are as curious about you as you are about them, and they will show it! The songs the birds sing will transport you to another place.
After your tour of the different sections of Bird Kingdom, you exit into a gift shop. But if you desire more exploration, Bird Kingdom also houses a reptile area where you can get close and personal with all types of reptiles. Ever hug a snake or grab a gator? If not, you can get your photo taken with each.
The Bird Kingdom is a kid friendly and relaxing adventure for the whole family. You will be impressed if you take the time to enjoy the detail that they have put into the place. Look out for the old Underwood typewriter, box camera, and pith helmet no doubt left by another adventurer such as yourself from a previous expedition!
