High Park

Toronto, ON

High Park profile image

Just off to the side of the city of Toronto resides a great big park called High Park. To Toronto locals this is common knowledge. But many people do not know that High Park has a Zoo, a trackless train, and a mega playground for kids among the features one would find at an almost 400 acre park.

High Park is very well maintained and is kept quite natural. Giant oak trees and green fields surround the property which provides a quick 'green' fix for urban residents wanting to trade the concrete jungle for nature. It is a perfect place for some hiking, jogging, or even mountain biking. And there are plenty of places to picnic as well.

The Zoo is a kid friendly place where youngsters of all ages can mingle with Llamas, Bison, and Wallabies. And this Zoo is free to the public which means easy saving for kids who are craving a zoo outing. And after the safari is over, the mega playground will finish the kids off and tire them out.

High Park is a great 'go to' outing for a stress free, cost free, and relaxing day not too far from the downtown core of Toronto.

High Park is a tree house in the urban jungle - one could spend a day in the park discovering all the small wonders this lot of land has to offer; picnics, gardens, wading pools, a pond, running paths, etc.,
