Ontario Science Centre

Toronto, ON

Ontario Science Centre profile image

The cost of admission may be a little intimidating for a family of 4 wanting to spend a few hours exploring science. But once you enter and start to walk around, the price is most justified. You could easily spend an entire day searching, exploring and learning and still not see everything. And when you add all the different events and evolving exhibits, every visit will be quite different.

If you are traveling with kids, there is a most fantastic area where they can run wild and try out many different science and environmental exhibits in an area designed just for them. And while they are having fun, they are actually learning many basic fundamental scientific concepts. Parents will learn that this play and learn area is great exercise too.

Some of the key things to watch for:

  • The different demonstrations - This is a great opportunity to listen to scientists talk about the world from their point of view.
  • New exhibits - The Harry Potter exhibit was fantastic!
  • Special Events - On certain occasions, the Ontario Science Centre will host different events such as star gazing.

In addition to all the interesting things to see and do, the Ontario Science Centre also has an IMAX Theatre. Although, again, the pricing may be a little high, if you want to finish off your day at the Ontario Science Centre with a nice ending, an IMAX movie will let the family relax before heading home.

All in all the Ontario Science Centre is a fun way to spend a day in any weather. It is most certainly worth checking out if you have not already...
