
Rattlesnake Point is located just outside Toronto in Halton Region. It is one of a few fantastic outings in the area, some of which are on Outings.ca as well. Rattlesnake Point has some of the best hiking and trails in all of Southern Ontario. The trail along the escarpment is peaceful and not too difficult. The views are simply amazing and add to the quality of the adventure.
The hike can take about an hour or more. But there are many opportunities to go slow and enjoy the view. At the beginning of the trail, at the southern most point of Rattlesnake Point, there is a staircase that allows adventurers to climb down to the base of the escarpment. Here, some caves can be found, and has a good point of view of the cliffs.
For the more experienced, climbing can be done on the cliff face at various points. Anchors can be spotted along the rim of the cliffs.
After the hiking is done, visitors can enjoy a nice picnic at one of the many seating areas. There is also camp sites that can be booked up. Rattlesnake Point is guaranteed to provide fantastic memories for any adventurer. And remember, take only photos. And leave only foot prints.
